Make the journey work for you
Start with a confirmed course booking
Choose the course and discuss visitor availability directly before treating a tee time as fixed. Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club's visitor booking page, for example, sets out its own booking process and availability conditions. The club confirms golf arrangements; Connect assesses the road journey.
Send the full course name and entrance address, the first tee time and any earlier reporting requirement. If your group has consecutive tee slots, list the last slot as well. The transport enquiry does not include green fees, equipment hire or a course reservation.
Count more than the golf bags
Golf travel can include clubs, travel covers, trolleys, shoes, day bags and overnight luggage. Tell Connect which items are travelling rather than using “golf gear” as a single total. Folded trolley dimensions are more useful than an assumption that they will fit.
| Item | What to record |
|---|---|
| Players and companions | Total passengers on each leg, including non-playing guests. |
| Clubs and covers | Number of sets and whether they remain in bulky travel covers. |
| Trolleys | Quantity and folded dimensions; identify items hired at the course instead. |
| Other luggage | Suitcases, day bags and equipment for anyone continuing to accommodation. |
The Ford Transit page describes a storage trailer option. Ask Connect to confirm the complete loading arrangement for your group.
Work from the first arrival and last finish
Allow time at the course for checking in and preparing to play. For the return, think about the last group finishing rather than the first players coming off the course. Include changing, returning hired equipment or a planned meal if these form part of your day.
Ask whether a drop-off and later collection suits your plan. If you want the vehicle to remain available, request that explicitly. A round's duration is not a guaranteed pickup time, so agree who will update Connect if the schedule changes.
Keep weather changes with one organiser
Ask the course how it communicates changes to play, then ask Connect separately about changes to the transport booking. A course cancellation does not establish the road operator's cancellation terms. Obtain both sets of arrangements before committing.
- One organiser keeps the course and transport confirmations.
- Players send changes in passenger or equipment numbers to that organiser.
- The organiser checks any new pickup time with Connect.
- An optional lunch or alternative activity is added only after agreement.
Use a course-to-transport worksheet
For a multi-course visit, give each day's details separately. Confirm what can be accommodated before booking accommodation or golf around an assumed vehicle schedule.
Before you enquire
Does Connect arrange tee times?
No tee-booking service or course partnership is claimed here. Arrange your golf directly and send the confirmed details with the transport request.
Can non-playing companions travel?
Include everyone who needs a seat and explain any different destination. Connect needs to assess the complete route and capacity.
