Make the journey work for you
Plan for doors, queues and the final encore
Your ticket’s start time is only one part of the journey. Check the organiser’s doors-open information and decide when your group wants to arrive. Allow for walking from the agreed drop-off point, ticket checks and meeting friends. A vehicle cannot necessarily stop at the entrance.
- Share the event name, date and venue address.
- Use the organiser’s latest access guidance, not an old event map.
- Distinguish the expected finish from the agreed return meeting time.
- Nominate one person to contact Connect if the event timing changes.
Compare the whole return journey
Metlink advises that public transport arrangements vary by event. Check its current guidance and your event information before deciding. A pre-arranged group journey can be useful when your party needs the same return destination or several agreed drop-offs; ask Connect to quote the itinerary you actually need.
| Travel option | Check before choosing |
|---|---|
| Public transport | Last services, connections and event-specific arrangements. |
| Driving | Parking location, who will drive and the walk after the event. |
| A group transfer | Passenger numbers, agreed pickup point, return time and stops. |
Make a regrouping plan everyone understands
Choose a meeting point with Connect that the whole group can identify. Share it before travelling, including a map pin if useful. Check how far it is from the venue and tell us if anybody will need a shorter walk or more time. Do not assume access to special event lanes, restricted areas or the venue forecourt.
Quote the complete night
List the outbound pickup and every return address, even if the final headcount is still being confirmed. Tell Connect which details are provisional. Late-night transport between 10pm and 7am has an additional cost. Ask how a delayed finish or changed destination would affect the booking; an open-ended wait should not be assumed.
Before you book
Is this a ticketed event shuttle?
This page is for customised transport enquiries. It does not advertise a scheduled departure, an event ticket or an official event partnership.
Can we be collected at the venue entrance?
The meeting point depends on venue access and the agreed booking. Confirm it with Connect and check current event restrictions.
What if the show runs late?
Agree a contact and change process when booking. Let Connect know promptly; extra waiting or a later journey needs confirmation.
