Make the journey work for you
Discuss child restraints before the travel day
Connect’s published booking policy says passengers must provide their own required child restraints. Do not assume a seat or capsule will be waiting in the vehicle. Tell Connect the number of children and the restraints you plan to bring, and ask about suitability for the allocated vehicle before confirming.
- Give each child’s age and describe the seat or restraint you intend to use.
- Share the restraint model or fitting information if requested.
- Confirm who will bring it and allow time for fitting according to its instructions.
- Plan what happens to your restraints at the airport and on the return trip.
Make one list for people and one for luggage
A pram and several child seats can change what fits even when your group has only a few people. Ask Connect to consider the whole list together. Keep items needed during the journey accessible rather than packed inside a suitcase that will be stored separately.
| Family travel item | What to tell Connect |
|---|---|
| Passengers | Number of adults and children, including infants. |
| Child restraints | Number and type; discuss the allocated vehicle before travel. |
| Pram or stroller | Whether it folds and its folded dimensions. |
| Bags | Checked suitcases, cabin bags and any oversized items. |
| Boarding needs | Any extra time or assistance to discuss before the trip. |
Work through the departure in order
First check the airline’s arrival and bag-drop requirements. Next allow for loading your luggage and fitting the restraints before the road journey starts. At the airport you may also need time to organise a pram, visit a changing room and move through the terminal. Agree the pickup with Connect using your family’s needs rather than another traveller’s usual journey time.
Prepare the return while everything is in front of you
Save your arrival date and flight number, plus the mobile number you will use after landing. Record the agreed driver meeting point. Make sure your restraints and pram will be available for the road journey home, and send any changed baggage or passenger details to Connect. If your flight changes, ask for the pickup arrangement to be reconfirmed.
Before you book
Does Connect supply child seats?
Its published policy requires passengers to provide required child restraints. Discuss your own restraints and the proposed vehicle before booking.
Can we bring a pram?
Include its folded dimensions in your enquiry and ask Connect to confirm space along with your other luggage. This page does not promise that every pram fits every vehicle.
How much time should we allow?
Use your airline’s requirements and describe your loading and boarding needs to Connect. Confirm a pickup for your specific family, route and flight; there is no single reliable allowance for every trip.
