Make the journey work for you
Start with guests who need a ride
Ask guests whether they need the outbound journey, a return, or both. Count each leg separately: somebody staying near the ceremony may still need a ride from the reception. Collect accommodation addresses and make one person responsible for the final transport list.
- Separate adults and children in your numbers.
- Ask about child restraints, boarding needs and items travelling with guests.
- Group people by actual pickup address, not just town.
- Keep a contact for each pickup group so missing guests can be checked.
Choose a return plan before sending invitations
These are planning options to discuss, not scheduled services. A repeat shuttle loop needs enough time for the complete return circuit. Ask Connect to assess the addresses, timing and passenger numbers before promising a departure to your guests.
| Possible arrangement | Question to settle |
|---|---|
| One shared departure | Can all travelling guests commit to the same time? |
| Early and final returns | Which guests need each journey, and is the extra movement available? |
| Several accommodation stops | What order works, and what is each guest’s agreed destination? |
| Ceremony-to-reception transfer | Who travels on this leg and where can the vehicle meet them? |
Create a guest transport card
Once the booking is confirmed, give guests a short card or message with the pickup address, meeting time, contact person and return arrangement. Use a specific meeting point rather than “outside the venue”. Ask the venue about loading access, lighting and any restrictions that could affect the plan.
Include the details that affect the quote
Send the wedding date, route, passenger totals per leg and finish time. Tell us about children and luggage if guests are moving between accommodation. Connect’s published policy requires passengers to bring required child restraints. Transport between 10pm and 7am attracts additional cost; include late reception returns in the initial request so the quote can reflect them.
Before you book
Do you offer wedding guest transport?
The Connect Ford Transit page lists weddings and events as a use case. Send your guest itinerary to discuss availability and the right arrangement.
Can we book several trips on the same day?
List all movements and required times. Connect needs to assess the complete schedule; repeated runs or several vehicles should not be assumed.
Can guests make last-minute changes?
Ask guests to send changes to your nominated organiser, who can check them with Connect. Extra stops, passengers or later departures need agreement.
