Our Story After decades in the workforce spanning civil and structural engineering, heavy machinery operation, and logistics, I found myself approaching what many would consider retirement age. However, my wife Marion and I knew one thing for certain—I wasn't ready to step back from meaningful work. Guided by a piece of wisdom that has always resonated with me: "You don't stop because you're getting old; you get old because you stop," we began exploring what the next chapter might look like.

My experience driving part-time for various tour companies and shuttle services opened my eyes to something truly special. Every day brought connections with fascinating people from around the globe and across New Zealand. I discovered a genuine passion for the diverse dynamics of different groups—witnessing various cultures, beliefs, and hearing the unique stories of each person's journey. These interactions weren't just part of the job; they became the highlight of it. While we considered attractive opportunities across the Tasman, careful reflection on our life stage and family circumstances led us to a different conclusion. We decided to stay rooted in our community and pursue something that combined our experience with our newfound passion for connecting people. Based on the beautiful Kapiti Coast, we're proud to have launched Connect Shuttle Services—our own venture built on years of experience and a genuine love for bringing people together through safe, reliable transportation.
